Honey Mustard BBQ Ribs

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 rack St. Louis style ribs

  • BBQ Rub (I used Killer Hogs: The BBQ Rub)

  • Yellow mustard


Honey Mustard Sauce

  • 1/2 bottle vinegar BBQ sauce (I used Killer Hogs)

  • 2T dijon mustard

  • 2T honey


Garnish

  • 1/4 cup mustard seeds

  • Vegetable oil

  • Fresh honey comb

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

Serves 3-5

  1. Add a thin layer of yellow mustard to both sides of the ribs and season thoroughly with BBQ rub. Smoke for 3 hours at 225F. Wrap in foil and smoke another 1.5-2 hours.

  2. Make your Sauce: Combine vinegar sauce, dijon and honey. Simmer for several minutes.

  3. Make your Garnish: Heat oil to 300-325F and fry the mustard seeds for ~2-3 minutes.

  4. Unwrap ribs, cover in sauce. Smoke for another 30 min-1 hour.

  5. Remove ribs and paint with another layer of sauce, top with mustard seeds and chunks of fresh honey comb. Drizzle with honey if desired. Enjoy!
