Candied Bacon

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pack bacon

  • 1-3T maple syrup (depending on how sweet you like it)

  • 1-3T brown sugar (depending on how sweet you like it


Optional Additions

  • 1t sriracha

  • Handful of dark chocolate chips


COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

Serves 4-6

  1. Cook bacon on medium heat until it just starts to get crispy, pour out most of oil.

  2. Add maple syrup and brown sugar.

  3. Continue cooking another 3-5 minutes, mixing constantly to make sure sugars don’t burn.

  4. Optional: Once some of the sugars have cooked down, first 2-3 min, add sriracha for a spicy kick.

  5. Let cool and chop!

  6. Optional: Keep bacon whole. Melt down the chocolate chips (few minutes in the microwave) and drizzle over the bacon for a salty sweet snack.
